“It is our hope that this movie will give a voice to the voiceless and shed some light on the plight of the Nuba in this forgotten corner of the world,” said Dr. Tom. “Let the dead and maimed have their day in court.”

The Community Outreach Committee in cooperation with Reach and Teach will screen the documentary “The Heart of Nuba” which deals with the current situation in the mountains between Sudan and South Sudan. The movie is set in the war-torn Nuba Mountains of Sudan, where American Doctor Tom Catena selflessly and courageously serves the needs of a forgotten people, as the region is bombed relentlessly by an indicted war criminal, Omar Al-Bashir. Two things remain constant: Dr. Tom’s faith and his enduring love for the Nuba people.

There will be free snacks!
