Screenings and Events
In 2017, The Heart of Nuba opened with some very special private, advanced screenings to organizations who advocated on behalf of the besieged people of the Nuba mountains of Sudan, to better inform their colleagues, constituents and members about the atrocities and crimes against humanity being committed by Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. Special screenings were also held for government officials in the U.S. Congress, the U.K. Parliament, and Paris City Hall. The International Criminal Court indicted al-Bashir as a war criminal.
These screenings helped to re-energize the movement that, for years, had been putting pressure on President al-Bashir to stop the bombing of his own people. The coalition supporting the film used it to galvanize and mobilize its members to take numerous actions.
In 2018 The Heart of Nuba opened in theaters across the United States and was released on major streaming services. Follow as the film is recognized around the US and around the world, and read about some of our most memorable moments.
