On March 16 Catholics In Media Associates (CIMA), the Catholic-peer association for the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, presented Kenneth A. Carlson, Director/Producer, and Maria Shriver, Executive Producer with the 2018 CIMA Social Justice Award in Anaheim on Friday, March 16th.

The Heart of Nuba was a featured film at the 2017 Showcase, and has since played a critical role in the recent ceasefire in the Nuba Mountains. Kenneth A. Carlson returned to the 2018 Showcase to discuss this significant event and share new scenes from the documentary.
